Marika Proctor, Acting Company, is a native of the Twin Cities. She recently graduated from the University of Puget Sound (WA), where she studied Theater and English. She has been featured locally as storyteller with Wayward Theater Company and nationally by the New York Times’ Maximum Shakespeare project. While studying in the UK, she acted with the Edinburgh University Shakespeare Company, Summerhall arts space, and on many productions at Edinburgh’s Bedlam Theater. Along with her excitement for classical texts, Marika has a background in improv and sketch comedy and can be seen doing the occasional stand-up set. She volunteers as a drama teacher at Urban Ventures and has assisted as an educator in the Twin Cities and Pacific Northwest at the middle school and undergraduate levels.
